Dems' response to GOP accusations, including JK's

I found this little clip (3 1/2 min.)at ABC's list of podcasts--the "after-note" which tells of a couple of conference calls made by prominent Dems. One included Reid and Schumer, and another included Kerry. No voice clips of him, but the reporter reads direct quotes rebutting those accusations, and responding to a question about a response he'd given during the campaign. He said we need solutions, not just slogans. And he said of the media (again) "we speak through you". Seems this is a point he's wanting to get through to the people--how the media is part of the problem.

1. Well, this is a find. it is a shame it wasn't given more air play, but

it doesn't surprise me that is wasn't. That would mean the media was really doing their job with no bias.

2. The response

was part of the Murphy conference. Again as usual they forgot to add the reporter's response after Kerry left. Remember the "screw that and screw him" comment from the Hill reporter when Kerry told him what their job was. As you can see they didn't quote his whole response.

Kaplan snidely responded to Kerry saying, "Isn't that your job not ours?"

John Kerry proceed to give Jonathan Kaplan a quick lesson in what the role of the media really is ? "We communicate through you," Kerry said. "We need to invite you to hold them accountable? We speak but if it doesn?t get out there, the American people don't hear it."

What the hell was the Milwaukee pool press thing about ? That made no sense what so ever.

He was in Milwaukee when the OBL tape was released, and gave an initial statement from the tarmack at the airport, as I remember. (he practially lived in Wisconsin that last month--between us and Ohio, that is.)

What the reporter said was confusing and I'm not sure what he was talking about--saying that JK was over-advised? I dunno what that was in reference to.
