Care to Refute: John Kerry looks like a bad Muppet

Some clown is posting all sorts of nonsense comments at Liberal Values. Here's one which I thought someone from here might want to refute:

There's posts here all the time with girls droolling over Kerry. Someone says he looks like a Muppet and nobody wants to post a positive comment in response?

I agree, John Kerry would look bad as a bad muppet, sure, but a handsome, presidential human. No one who is that classly could look like a muppet. Muppets are pretty silly and foolish looking - unlike John Kerry, who has never looked silly or foolish.

If being said to look like a muppet is the worst thing ever said about the dignified, Presidential MA Senator, he's in great shape. (That's just dumb - besides Edwards looks more like a muppet than Kerry does.)

I just thought that he might see the comment as agreeing with him in making fun of Kerry as rather than opposing him.

No big deal. Kerry has survived far worse than an idiot posting comments like this.

17. BTW, the distinguished Senator from Massachusetts

does not look like a muppet, although he does have a rather small mouth. He is also much too tall for muppet-dom and way, way too thin.

Mr. Kerry, with his elegant salt n pepper hair, looks more like a distinguished statesman and orator. (Unless he is in uniform to play sports. Then he looks like he wants to have some fun.) This is, of course, levened by that twinkle that he sometimes gets in his eyes, after he has laid down a really good punch on an opponent.

23. That's why I said (here, not there) that John Edwards looks more

like a muppet - his face shape is far more common for a muppet and he has a mouth that goes almost from one end of his face to the other when he smiles. He also has lots of hair.

I saw way to many muppets - including full size ones at a show. The kids also had Shalom Sesame with Israeli muppets.

But I have to say that the Senator is very unmuppet-like.
He does have lots of hair, but I think muppets are more furry than hairy. Except, perhaps, Harry Monster, who is one of my favorite muppets and is, indeed, Harry.
