The forum, hosted by the newly launched SAIS Center on Politics and Foreign Relations (CPFR) and the Financial Times, features the following participants:
*

Admittance to the briefing is by invitation only. However, the event is open to the media for coverage.
The session will be held in the Kenney Auditorium of the school’s Nitze Building, located at 1740 Massachusetts Ave., N.W., Washington, D.C.
The briefing with Senator Kerry is the inaugural event of the Center on Politics and Foreign Relations, a new research center at SAIS directed by Robert Guttman, a fellow at SAIS’s Foreign Policy Institute. CPFR’s overall goal is to debate, discuss and analyze the role domestic politics plays in a country’s foreign policy. The center will be connecting the worlds of politics and foreign relations not only in the United States but across the globe.
In partnership with the Financial Times, CPFR plans to host this series of breakfast briefings featuring all of the potential U.S. presidential candidates. During the upcoming year, CPFR will publish a series of “Political Profiles” newsletters about each of the potential candidates, highlighting their views of critical foreign policy issues of the day. The center also will hold conferences on such topics as the upcoming U.S. mid-term elections’ impact on foreign policy, the Middle East after the recent conflict in Lebanon, and domestic politics and foreign policy in Iran.
