Eh, I was thinking about it and came up with this analogy. I am bailing this leaky boat as fast as I can, with a few fellow bailers, and we're praying that the rowers get us to that distant shore we see off in the distance, before the leaks get too bad for the bailers to keep up with. We use to think that distant shore was home. Now we realize that it isn't home, and it may not even be a particularly hospitable place. But it's got to be better than sinking, which we will surely do if we stop bailing and rowing.

What really pisses me off somedays is the folks on the boat who refuse to see the water coming in around their ankles. And worse than that, the ones who see it and make note of it, but steadfastly refuse to start bailing or rowing. And then of course there's those that just want to bitch about how the bailers and rowers are doing it.

Sigh. Yep. Bad day. I can relate.

Keep fighting the good fight, and don't let them get you down. I may not be in here much, but Senator Kerry is my favorite of all time, and if he runs again in 2008, I will be supporting him 100 percent. HE WUZ ROBBED! (And so were we.)
