Okay, now I'm Kerry's PR department
let's see
apologists
sychophants
DLC operatives
and now Kerry's the guy I'm "doing PR for."

Then, why, might I ask, ain't I gettin' paid.

Ugh. The negativity. What the hell. What the hell is wrong with trying to get kids some health care. Now his NKLB vote is being thrown in my face. Most people agree that NKLB would have been a fine bill if it had been funded, I thought. Is it Kerry's fault it didn't get funded? Is it Kerry's responsibility that teachers are losing their jobs and kids are indeed being left behind?

So why are we fighting Bush. This Kerry guy sounds like a monster. First IWR, now NKLB! What a bastard! GET KERRY!!

Geez Louise.

1. I don't like No Child Left Behind
but it's not the worst thing anyone's voted on. Who would question the motives of trying to reform education? Well, now that its Bush, anything he proposes is questionable. Anyway, these people need to get over themselves. I doubt they're doing anything productive. At least Senator Kerry and a lot of colleagues are trying to get something done. They're not just bitching and whining while sitting in front of their computer and eating Flamin hot cheetos

2. I've noticed your "hard work"

over in GD/P! I do think it's worth it to keep on being a sane voice over there. I think it would be great if we Kerrycrats can agree on going to just one of those boards (I like GD/P better than GD lately) and go there to support each other. What does everyone think? We do get good responses from others who are mainly watching from the sidelines. We need to make sure that the disrupters don't win them over.

edit: PR Dept.?? I call it watching JK's back :)

That's the last step before they ignore you altogether. :)

No wait, the last step is that you're actually a right wing plant.

7. i'm convinced some don't really care about getting real change
Edited on Wed Feb-02-05 03:47 PM by JI7
as they do about how they feel . they love to talk about revolution and all that crap, it doesn't matter if in the end there is no change.

they would sell out others to make themselves feel good about their rants.

the kids health care thing actuallly has a chance of getting support in the Republican controlled congress but they don't care. they would rather just complain about things not being perfect.

8. if they cared about real change, they would shit on those who are trying
to affect real change. Things will never be perfect, there never was a mystical day when all the democratic party was liberal and progressive.

9. they think it's just about getting on perfect thing passed and all will be
good.

but even if we got universal health care and other things it will still require changes be made with the changing times. just as with social security which is a GREAT program but it doesn't mean we have to do things to make sure it can stay a great program.

but it's much easier to complain and act like a victim then to actually get out there and get change.

10. universal health care
The funny thing about that, France is rated #1 by the WHO. They have a public/private health delivery system. Everybody is covered by a very basic health plan, but they also have employer provided insurance to cover private hospital care. 50% of surgeries and cancer treatments are in private hospitals. They also have some other medical care facilities, run by religious groups IIRC. So the best health care in the world isn't a single payer only system. I hardly ever get much response when I post that though.

11. I'm kind of jealous
I've only been accused of blind hero worship so far. I'm going to have to work a lot harder - I want to at least get to "apologist".

They do make him sound like a monster, don't they? It's beyond my comprehension - well, I probably just don't want to comprehend it, it's so frigging ridiculous.
