Hat tip to the JK blog who included this in their JK roundup

http://blog.johnkerry.com/2007/01/jk_on_the_blogs_9.html#more

(they also have a nice small biz post above this one that's worth checking out)

Even Sully linked to it, saying:

Mallkin Retracts
08 Jan 2007 02:59 pm

The far-right blogosphere cops to yet another fact-free smear.

And here's the Greg Sargent post on The Horse's Mouth. Thankfully, he visited Michelle Malkin's site so we don't have to!!

http://www.prospect.org/horsesmouth/2007/01/post_481.html#23015020

Three of the most prominent bloggers in the conservative blogosphere -- PowerlineBlog's Scott Johnson, Michelle Malkin, and Charles Johnson's Little Green Footballs -- have now responded to my post. And they've all acknowledged that the "lonely Kerry" story they all promoted is completely bogus. Yet to a person, every one of them is either continuing to insist that the troops despise Kerry, or asserting that, hey, it doesn't really matter if they smeared someone relentlessly with outright falsehoods.

Some jerk in the comments went after JK's DAD, calling his book anti-American -- you got that right -- even passing away doesn't allow you an escape from the Right's wrath. There is no bottom with these people.

Nevertheless, WE WON!!!!! THEY SUCK!!!! One teeny, tiny victory, and I will take it!

3. Somebody in the comments fished out a poll from Nov. 2004
greg, i had a chance to look: the exit poll showed that ever served in the military went for bush 57-41 in 2004.

http://www.cnn.com/ELECTION/2004/pages/results/states/US/P/00/epolls.0.html

So a 57-41 split. A lot of those in the 57% now disapprove of Bush's handling of the war. I think that some don't like him, some like him, and many more are fairly indifferent since they're not particularly focused on politics. Let the Right prove me wrong.

2. I love Sargent's comment
They went after Kerry's dad - well Kerry's dad is cited along with JFK as the person who influenced his political thinking. His influence may be why Kerry's way of looking at things like Lebanon seems different than anyone else.
