3. Every time I click where it gives the question "Should Kerry run for
president", it goes to a new page, and then says "Cannot find server". I'm not registered at boston.com, so perhaps is that the problem?

5. Nope. I registered, still can't get in.
Okay, voting on boston.com polls for idiots, guys:

I clicked to boston.com

The Kerry story is on the front page, and there is a question below it "Should Kerry run for president". But . . . the box looks weird a little, with some of the outline of a box on the left. I click the question (there is a check mark in a box there), and it goes to a page "Cannot find server".

Maybe I'll just try again tomorrow and it'll be cleared up by then. It's getting late. I want to help, but it won't let me.

8. The question is what % would be good for any candidate
Edited on Tue Jan-09-07 08:21 AM by karynnj
The question is very biased as read - begging for a "no". Any RW or any Democratic competitor site could put it up to freep it. Even if only Democrats vote - 10% wanting him to run is not bad now - though it looks bad. No one puts this up for Vilsack or Biden - although Kerry has consistently outpolled them. Also, Romney who they front page on fund running and Weld's support - has never broken 10% in the Republican polls I've seen. (In fact, is the Globe reactingto the Patrick endorsement?)

In early 2003, they were encouraging Gore to run. (Remember the Aug 2003 Kerry NH CSPAN video where the media was asking about Dean and then asked what if Hillary or Gore decided to run.

10. Is the poll gone now? I was going to try again this morning.
Thing is, it's a bogus poll, because I was disenfranchised!!!! Who knows how many others had the same computer glitch I had. Should I complain to the Globe?

11. No, here is the link.

The answer is still deseperately negative, but, this is an internet poll. We all know the validity of these polls.

12. Thanks! I just voted. It's only 12.6%. I think it reflects more
people's ambiguities about a second run than downright negativity.

14. This poll is easy to continually vote in if you have a little time.
I usually do not like to play with the votes, but in this case, it was obvious last night that a couple of people had gotten to it before we even knew it existed and voted negative. They know that it is harder to comeback once there are high negatives. And, all it takes is a couple of people to jack up the negative responses in this poll.
I played around with the poll for about 45 minutes and with four screens open to the poll, I voted one right after the other by deleting cookies. Easy as pie. It was over 16% with my efforts alone this morning.

All of which goes to prove this poll proves nothing at all. Look at the way it is worded. The jack*sses that voted against a better qualified candidate in favor of he lost,he had is chance says a lot about the mentality of those voting negatively.
