Another avatar question
So I thought I would try and help GRLMGC and went into the avatar section. I was no help there, but ran across the Kerry-Dean avatar.

It was painful, but I was thinking it was a good unity avatar. Whaddya think? Be honest.

Should I go for unity? Go back to my campaign season John-Teresa avatar? Or stick with post-campaign Rosa Parks?

1. Unity!
That's really what we need right now, I think.

6. Dean's the DLC Chair
Edited on Sat Feb-05-05 06:34 PM by sandnsea
I was thinking it would be respectful of that and signify the two leaders of the party. I like Clark alot, but Dean is the chair.

hehe, on edit, DNC I really meant DNC. But I'm going to leave DLC there because it's so frikkin' funny!

8. I'm hoping for some moderation
That he settles down and rises to the responsibility of the position. I'm planning on reserving all judgement and keeping my opinions to myself for at least 3-4 months. Give him the kind of respect that others should have given to Kerry. I have a feeling southern Dems and rural Dems will set him straight in a hurry.

9. I believe that Dean will do a good job
I could be wrong we will have to wait and see. But what I'm really waiting to see is how many of his so-called loyal supporters turn tails on him once he gets started doing his job. How many will turn their guns on him like they have Kerry and others that didn't do exactly what they wanted and when they wanted it done. You have many that are true Dean supporters but you also have many that claim they are and the first time something doesn't go their way he will become scum of the earth to them. But I do think Dean will do a good job.

10. He has the ability
As long as he doesn't flip out the first time he says something the left doesn't like and they go after him. And they will. He definitely has the ability to do some really great things for the party. Of course, there's also the outside chance he'll go right back to being the DLC Democrat he was in Vermont. That'd be a hoot. So I'm taking the wait and see approach too, and giving him plenty of time to learn and adjust. It'll be interesting, that's for sure.

11. Why do you say he's weird?
Please don't listen to that RW smear campaign based around "the Scream." That was a microphone malfunction of the media. They put the mic on him but didn't mic the crowd. He was shouting over a bunch of screaming young Deaniacs. We are frikking rowdy bunch of ladies and gay men...
Have you heard any of his NPR interviews? He is very together man who was a great governor for 10 years. Of course, he has the experience to be a great DNC Chair! And a great president too, someday.

Unity it is. I like Howard Dean. I think he is a true Gemini of a candidate and a pol. (Works for me, a Gemini Chair.)
