2. Kerry seems to go every year. Interesting that it is with Dodd.
Humm. Kerry/Dodd ticket? I know, I am getting ahead of myself.
Now, Hillary should go to this too, but she is to busy making nice for the media.

3. Sen. Kerry will attend NEXT weekend
Here is the schedule of what is being talked about at Davos:

http://www.weforum.org/en/events/AnnualMeeting2007/Programme/index.htm?date=ALL

He is there because he is 5th ranking Dem on the Finance Committee,
3rd Ranking Dem on the Commerce Committee
3rd Ranking Dem on Foreign Relations
Chairman of the Small Business and Entrepreunship Committee.

It's part of his job description. Economics touches each of these committees.

Davos World Economics Forum begins Jan 23 and ends Jan 28th. Kerry will probably be there Jan 26-28.

7. I was thinking the same thing
.. . or at least that there was the possibility of a growing alliance of some sort, along the lines of Substance Counts.

6. Don't tell Sen. Jeff Sessions.
He gets so jealous when Kerry gets invited places and he doesn't. I have heard little Jeffy speak. I completely understand why the world community doesn't invite him to Davos.

9. Yeah, they'll all just be hanging on the ski slopes.
Not doing anything important, you know. Except of course McCain, and any other republicans who happen to go.

:sarcasm:

11. Somewhat OT, but
I heard on NPR today that 1/3 of Swiss ski resorts are closed due to lack of snow. Very serious economic issue.
I'm not sure about Davos, as I'm not that familiar with the geography. Ski areas hurt most are those with elevations below 1100 meters.
