Road to the WH mentioned JK

Steve Scully was interviewing an Iowa repub chairman and ran through a list of candidates. Of Kerry, he said that he does have some friends in IA, but that he will have to go there and make his case as to why he didn't win last time and what would be different this time. Not too tall an order, I don't think. He thinks that polls are pretty meaningless at this time and that things can change on a dime at anytime. That's what's exciting about the Iowa caucus system.

Couple that with Teddy's comments on MTP--that JK was way behind in the polls at this point last time and pulled it off, and that he'd have to go and make his case over again--they've been talking seriously about it, it seems. So is he in or not? I think he's a risk-taker and ambitious and brave and is inclined to go for it.

I got a call Saturday morning from the John Kerry exploratory committee (or at least, someone claiming to be phoning on behalf of such).
