My first DU post

Hi everyone, Lou here. I realize it is odd that I’m finally posting something after JK decided not to run, but for some reason it felt like the right time. The news hit me just as it did you all. Much sadness and loss, and much thinking about what could have been. But just as John Kerry shows by example, there isn’t much time for that. We have a fight on our hands.

So I wanted to say that I am still standing with you as we continue the fight to right the wrongs in our country. Although I may not be able to post much here, I am ready and willing to do whatever I’m able to in order to make our generation the one that wrestled our government back from extremist, brought our troops home, repaired the damage done by an unjust war to a country which deserved far better, and restored America as a beacon in the rest of the world.

And once again I must say that it has been wonderful working with some of you, and it was also really special to spend time with some of you recently. I’ll be forever grateful for that day in Boston.

So here I am. Count me in.

JK will be a watchdog on those who are running. Not a yes-man. He's said so. And I am very highly inclined to insinuate myself into the organization of someone who IMO has the potential to open the books, and who can be persuaded to respect Kerry. But I'll always be a JK person at heart.

Thanks for this inspirational post. The events of the past two days have been the source of a lot of hurt and anger, but also encouragement and hope---wonderful messages of comfort.

I was looking at the photo thread and I feel so much loss, but also so privileged to have been a part of such an amazing moment in time.

You just post the url. Except, at the end of a picture url you will have .jpg or .gif. The above has .jpg on the end which I left off so you could see it.

You will want to copy it and put it in yur post and then add jpg on the end and http at the beginning.

If you have personal photos, you will need to put them online. I use photobucket.com, but there's other places too. You upload a photo, then do the url thing.
