2. Gee, was it a botch?
And not John Kerry's? Casts some reality on her spectacular war room.

3. I think it was a botch - but the media covers for her.
Kerry's was a botch, he sdmitted it immediately and the prepared text had been distributed to the press before the event. Also, even the worse interpretation was not the RW talking points and Kerry had abundant credentials with vets.

Hillary's would be worse if they had the same media. Hers jokes(?) that her husband is evil or bad. She was clumsy when she denied it was suppose to mean Bill - and didn't supply the obvios right answer - the RW. The point is that there was a question that it was Bill is the issue. It brings back things she needs to keep under control. (It's also telling - had Teresa made the same comment - no one would have assumed she meant her good and decent husband. Or Michelle Obama of Elizabeth Edwards.)

4. I think it was a botch too.
I know her supporters insist she's oh-so-warm-and-funny in private, but I see no sign of that. I hadn't seen the actual clip until the Daily Show showed it, but my impressions were: a bad joke, badly told, and then she whined that she was being "psychoanalyzed" by the press when they tried to figure out what she was talking about.

Video is up. I recommend "Let the Conversation Begin" and "Obamania".

5. Yep - seeing the footage of both the comment and the later
media event made me see that print media played it down. Can you imagine what the media woul have done had Kerry complained that he was being psycoanalyzed? I am really glad he still has the defense of the joke in the media section of the blog. That's honest and there's no reason for him to be ashamed of it.No matter how he would have reacted, it would have been defined as the wrong way.

I think people will get a new definition of "bad joke" if iHillary is the candidate. The crowd of mostly women that she said this at reacted as if they thought she was speaking of Bill - after all think of it would it be a joke otherwise? (ie think of Kerry's crooks or liars comment where at least vaguely you knew who he met, any reason to laugh.) Again, this was a joke she told on purpose - I suspect there could be buyer's remorse on the part of the powers that be - maybe Dodd can play the role we hoped for Kerry.

6. I checked out the video
unfortunately, I must have clicked on the wrong thing, and the first video that started showing was one in which Stewart was making fun of Kerry's floor speech last week :grr: :grr:

7. Yeah,
that one pissed me off too. He misrepresented the whole speech for a cheap laugh.
