I think it probably took a couple of weeks for him to get his shit together and figure out where to go from here after the loss in November. I agree with the reports that we got from Larisa and from Fire that he knows the score in Ohio and he knows that the Rethugs whores f*cked him over. So, he had his choices, he could have quit fighting and accepted a position as a Party Elder, who fought the good fight, but lost. That would have fit that whole bullshit 'gentleman' image that he had. (Gentlemen do not get elected 4 times to the US Senate from MA. Not even Teddy K. This is a rough state. Many have tried to f*ck with JK. Many have fallen by the wayside and are not currently anything. Anybody seen Bill Weld lately?)
Who showed up at the Inaugural and braved that shitstorm. (Kerry could have made excuses and not attended. The press would have snickered, but so what?) I took that as a definite 'I'm still here and I'm not fading away' message. (Come on, Kerry knew he would be getting huge TV time and that he would be booed and stuff. He's not an idiot. But I think he showed because, you know. 'F*ck you, I'm still here.') Then there is the slowly building case for leading or being one of the leaders of the Loyal Opposition. Kerry took his own trip to the Middle East and Europe. (Jayzus, the foreign press ate that up. He was mobbed in Europe. And he got to the Euro leaders before * did. In your face, but in a classy statesmanlike way.)
Remember those committee and sub-committee assignments that Kerry has. Foreign Relations, Finance, with the subs of Health Care (Medicare drug bill anyone with it's big budgeting lies,) sub-committee on the deficit and the sub-committee on Social Security. I think he has a nice chance to talk with authority against what the evil *ies are trying to do.
John Kerry is a very smart man. And he does have excellent political instincts. And he is a survivor. This guy is not wimpy or else he wouldn't be where he is today. He would have folded many years ago. (He got f*cked over in the last election. Fool me once, shame on you. Try it again MF and I'll break your friggin hand. Okay, that's just me, but it is very Massholey.) He knows what these bastards are doing. This is what Kerry fought against his whole career, liars in government positions. I think Kerry will try and help the Dems because that is a good in and of itself. (And it might help John Kerry as well. So what? Like that's a bad thing.) And I think he wants to be there and have a front row seat to expose these bastards and do what he can to take them down. That would be sweet. These people screwed him over, defamed his military record and insulted his honorable service. (And they ripped on his wife.) I don't think it is out of line to think that Kerry wants another shot at bringing these whorey bastards down. It would be a vindication of him and what he has fought for his whole life. (The hearty 'FU it would bring, would just be a nice extra.)
