Obama was very good, but so was John Lewis, and , as Obama himself said, best of all was Rev. Joseph Lowery. I want him for my honorary granddaddy, or just close enough so he can charge me up again whenever I feel down.

2. I saw Obama

Saw a little bit of Hillary. Obama was good. He started off slow, but picked up steam. I missed John Lewis :( And I like Rev. Lowery, he always tells it like it is and is very funny.

I THOUGHT I had taped the whole thing, but only noticed at the end that I hadn't.. damn. So I can't give you all the details. But it was a pleasure to hear John Lewis talk about things that matter (also, I love his voice). And, like I said, Lowery was terrific! Yeah, he did tell it like it is, and was very very funny. He mentioned that his doctor son-in-law told him that his cholesterol was high, but his "good" cholesterol was OK. From there he launched into a distinction between "good crazy" (all the original civil rights guys and other forces for good ) and "bad crazy" (no examples, but I'm sure you can think of a few :)). He's a great one!

Wonderful feeling all around. Made me realize there are still good folks around.

Somehow I missed Hillary. I guess I didn't leave CSPAN on long enough???
