Hillary 1984
In case anyone hasn't seen this fantastic anti-Hillary You Tube ad yet:

1. You know it's an Apple ad from the 1984 Superbowl, right?
That's why it's so cool. But Hillary's voice works really well for it.

2. I don't know if this video plays well for either Hillary or Obama.
IMO, it comes off looking surreal, very scary and conspiratorial, the MSM have been playing it up. These type of suggestive attack videos may worry older voters and sway them away from Democrats.

3. As much as I dislike Hillary
(which would be a lot), I don't like this ad at all.

4. I'm with you.
When this first came out, I thought I saw that it was NOT put out by the Obama campaign. Has that changed? It could be what they call a false flag attack.

I really don't directly remember that Apple ad, although this seems vaguely familiar. Mostly, it is somehow disturbing. If I think about it, the message is probably legitimate, but the impression is dark enough that I'm not sure it would help Obama.

5. Stylistically, I like it, just because it's interesting. But since I found
out it was an Apple ad, well, then, I just admire the Madison Ave. firm that put it together in 1984, and don't think much of the people who put it together with Hillary in it. After all, how hard was that? I was intrigued that somebody would put something together like that for a real political campaign. But they didn't, so now I'm not so impressed.

8. Can't compare it to a pro ad
This is most likely something put up by an amature with a home computer splicing the Apple ad and Hillary speeches together. If this was an ad on television by pros then it wouldn't be so impressive as they didn't use their own material.

It is a different matter when an amature can come up with something looking like this on You Tube. In the past I could have seen writing a blog post in about the message this conveys and using the Apple ad campaign as an analogy. For someone to acually put this together like this is far more compelling. The ad does capture the feeling of Obama taking on Hillary and her style of rhetoric (or as one person put it, giving a way to "call Hillary Clinton a pabulum-spewing pseudo-fascist") much the same way that Apple took on the IBM/Microsoft establishment.

6. I feel the same way!
It makes the whole party look bad. I'm sure Obama had nothing to do with it. I am not a Hillary fan, but if she wins the Nomination, she will be my choice. I think it's political suicide for any candidate to use this crap this early in the game. I tell ya, if this is coming from our supporters using U Tube independantly from the campaigns, we're in for a really bumpy and vicious campaign cycle.

7. The Obama campaign says they didn't put this ad out
But that it may have come from an enthusiastic Obama supporter.
