3. Thanks
I didn't know Kerry liked the late Bishop G.E. Patterson. I understand he didn't agree with him, but I didn't know he liked his sermons. That was cool to know.

I am not COGIC, but my family always watched him every Sunday and didn't know he was sick until I saw a link that he passed away.

And as always despite the early morning Momma T looked good. They both look and sounded relaxed. Nice interview. :)

4. What a great interview
They're so awesome and obviously care so much. It's almost harder to believe the country chose Laura over Teresa. Drugged zombie or passionate activist - let's go with the zombie. :eyes:

Obviously, I really like the premise of the book too, lol.

"All across the world, men and women of good spirit are lifting others out of poverty and despair, cleaning dirty rivers and ocean beaches, stopping violence and injustice, teaching small children to read, write and think, and so much more. The mission of LightUpTheDarkness.org is to shine a light on the work of those who pick up the torch and carry on, in the most difficult of circumstances."

6. Hey! I got JK and THK's book today!
Actually, two. I ordered one for a gift.

I'm only through the intro and part of Chapter One, and I'm convinced I have to buy copies for several other people, starting with my Republican friends.

I'd tell you why, but that would spoil it for those of you who are still waiting to get your copies.

Also, the author photo is lovely. One of these days, I'm going to find out THK's secret. She looks like a million bucks (before taxes). LOL, I hope she takes that as a compliment.

Gotta go read now.

:hi:

7. Mine is en route...
I can't wait to get it.

I watched the video--really good! But listening to it was fun, too--they both have lovely speaking voices.

:)

8. I had the same reaction after the first chapter...
several people I know will be getting gift copies.

It is very, very good - and very readable. I am almost finished already - and I am not much of a reader of books these last couple years. I read everything else, but I usually get bored with books before I finish them. Not the case this time!

Enjoy!
