Kudos to everyone

Been in lurk mode of late (sometimes you just got to take a break from the madness) but thanks for sticking up for both Kerry and Gore. It's unfortunate that people still bash Kerry just to promote Gore or just Kerry period. What do they still want? He isn't running. Sheesh!

People don't care about the issues or truth, but you do as much as you can cause the average voter may be lurking out there.

Great job on the liveblogging too. :hi:

2. nice to see you
Some people just can't get over their anger - either that he beat Dean (or some other primary candidate or that he lost to Bush.

People don't care about the issues or truth...

Our local AA host, Jay Marvin, makes an excellent point. The average American doesn't have time or energy to get involved in politics, especially if they have children and are working full time.

Therefore, it's not so hard to extrapolate a little, and say that in worse cases among us, some of us don't even have the time or emotional wherewithal to question talking points or dig deeper behind assumptions.

If I were a bit more conspiracy-minded, I'd swear our longer hours and commutes, and the greater amount of time we're supposed to be "switched on" each day, was a conspiracy: to keep us too busy to reflect on the state of our nation or do something about it.

4. I dunno, what do John O'Neil and Jerome Corsi still want?
Some people are just as insanely anti-Kerry as we are pro-Kerry. I don't really know what to do about it, except to help fight for the senator's rightful place in history.

6. That's all we can do

It just gets tiring after three years, but a reply noted that Gore got slammed for four years, and is now forgiven.
