Oh, well, as the heading says, Senator Kerry tried. However, when so much money and control is involved the power players have the upper hand. This is a shame for those who don't have the money to subscribe to DirectTV.

3. If that's the case, it might be good for the Senator's staff to get

the comments on that site. Especially one of an Iraq/Afghanistan vet who missed his Red Soxs while at war and will now miss them because of this deal. Thos comments are interesting as they make clear that they would not have understood it was just greediness except for Kerry making it an issue.

4. People would have to switch

The bonus baseball packages have been around for a long time and they dont change the rules about seeing local games. There are still black outs on them unless they're sold out, which I would guess most Red Sox games are. The issue is that people have bought the DirecTV dishes and satellite packages, many specifically to be able to prescribe to baseball - and now they'll have to switch to Dish, along with whatever additional expenses. The package should be available on any satellite or cable venue, all sports packages. It really is ridiculous the way they've got it set up.
