...to be any MORE in love with this man?!?!

That first pic looks like the Nantucket ferry - makes me homesick.

I didn't think it possible, but I love him more with each passing day. What a beautiful human being. Thanks for these.

but a child, a mere poser. Surely the charms of a perhaps older, but more, ah, experienced practitioner of the art of amour might catch such a grand man's eye. (And other parts.)

How dare you.

I have an unmatchable zeal for life. John will be captivated by my energy, maturity, wit, and fiery nature. What I lack in experience I make up for in raw passion. I will invigorate and rejuvenate him. Besides, I'm young and way hot, so I beat an old woman any old day. :P

But I assure you I could more than handle him.

I think everyone's methods would be, ah, effective. Yours is youthful and full of passion and energy. Who could resist it?

I would nearly drown the poor man in a subtlety of lace, a glide of silk and close whisper of satin. Perhaps there is room for more than one approach. (Perhaps in tandem, one after the other. Sounds like a rich Valentine's Day to me.)

Agree to share?

24. Funny co-incidence of seating position
But he may be a descendant of Moses' brother Aaron and the high priests of Jerusalem.

Last fall while waiting for stragglers to arrive at a meeting of people from my synagogue, there was the following discussion after some people mentioned the Kerry's family's original name. The gist of the conversation, although none of us involved had any relevant Jewish education on this, was:

" in reality isn't it somewhat possible that Kerry is descended from Aaron, brother of Moses (ancestor of all cohenim - the high priests of the temple at Jerusalem) Kohn is a variation of Cohen and the designation is passed from father to father. So, it is possible that this included Kerry's ancestors. (Kerry would not be a cohen because he's not Jewish as he doesn't have a Jewish mother.) But the line of descent would be the same, so he would have an illustrious ancestor on the Kerry side as well as the ones on his mother's side. Much was then made of the fact that Aaron was reputed to be a good speaker - and as we saw in the debates ...."

As I never read this speculation anywhere, I doubt it has any merit.
But seeing the "Jesus" thing, it brought back this strange conversation. (It's beyond anything I studied when I became Jewish.)

26. Unknown, I only am familiar with Catholic Kerry
But I did find this today:

Ancient Jewish scripts confirm Kerry's Bohemian origin

Source: CZECH NEWS AGENCY
Date: February 12, 2005

MOHELNICE, North Moravia, Feb 12 (CTK) - The civic association Respect and
Tolerance today for the first time exhibited priceless Jewish scripts
discovered by its members in the USA and Britain which also show that ancestors
of U.S. Senator John Kerry originate from Usov in the Sumperk region.

The new documents have complemented a wandering exhibition about Jewish
traditions, customs and history in Bohemia and Moravia, based on the collection
of Jewish museums in Prague.

Visitors can for the first time see "Modlitby Izraelituw," the first edition of
a Czech-Hebrew book of prayers from 1847 and the documents written and
illustrated by Abraham Leipniker from Usov.

"When studying the documents and further files we found that Leipniker was an
ancestor of Senator Kerry. Five generations of Kerry's ancestors lived in
Usov," Ludek Stipl from the association Respect and Tolerance told CTK today.

The association had contacted Kerry earlier and asked him whether it could
publish the information about his ancestors, Stipl said. "We have received a
consent from his personal secretary and today I could speak for the first time
about it. We are also in contact with Kerry's brother," Stipl said.

Although I must say, the bottom one of him asleep is a very close second. T. should be snuggling him, though, rather than sitting like she is. He clearly wanted it when he was awake, as he fell asleep with his arms on her.

32. I KNOW!
She'd better not be actually pulling away from him, though.

There's another possibility, and that's that she's avoiding facing him because she couldn't control herself if she did, but she doesn't want to wake him up. I could see that as a strong possibility if it were me in that pic. So maybe it's all right.

It's strange (but sweet) to see a big, tall guy in a position like that.

I read that he learned to easily fall asleep for catnaps while in 'Nam. Of course my husband can fall asleep anywhere too when he's tired. A guy thing perhaps. I can't do it--too many years taking care of kids--you don't dare shut your eyes for 5 minutes.

They are a really cute couple, though.

37. John and Elizabeth Edwards
Edited on Tue Feb-15-05 01:19 AM by JI7
seeing John Edwards with Elizabeth you can tell he truly loves her. it's common for people in love to find other people attractive and look at them as i have seen with Kerry and some others.

but with Edwards no matter how attractive another woman might be he never seems to even have any interest in looking. he only has eyes for his wife. i remember when she was giving a speech and he would look to Kerry with a "isn't she great" expression on his face and Kerry would return with with a "she certainly is" type look.

with Kerry it's like he has total trust in Teresa and just wants to show her off to people. i always get a sense he is thinking "how lucky am i to be married to this amazing woman". people criticize Teresa for appearing "too distant" from Kerry at times. but she really does love and care for him. she does things like make sure he eats well and when he gets a cold she tells him what to take to get better. it's really sweet.

there are some differences in the way of expression but it still comes down to love for all of them.

43. Yeah, so where'd they get this crap?
"Kerry is the weirdo first husband you married in college when you were an art major. Bush is the solid second husband who saved you, helped you raise kids and taught you golf."

I don't remember who wrote this during the campaign, but I remember I blasted their ass. Is this not the stupidest thing you ever heard? Bush is the drunken, lying, pompous, shit head of an asshole first husband; Kerry is the one who saved you, helped you raise kids, listened to you and respected you, and didn't give a shit if you learned golf. I just never could figure out what idiots were writing this crap, but it sure pissesd me off and it really pisses me off that they make so goddamn much money doing it.

44. pretty disgusting isn't it
the fucking asshole was drunk for most of his fucking life and suddenly he "finds jesus" when he is 50 and they claim he is a good moral leader .

while Kerry has always taken up responsibilities that is far more than many would throughout his life. some of the biggest being when he spoke out against the war after having the guts to go sign up and fight in it himself where he risked his life to save others. Kerry has been the one who set up programs in poor neighborhoods to help kids do something positive with their lives. Kerry was the one who set up some of the first support centers for raped women. he is the one who helped to bring some comfort to families to lost relatives in vietnam by normalizing relations and trying to bring back as many remains as we could find of the soldiers who were killed there.

and someone who does THAT is what a true leader is.

47. How did they succeed in such blatant misrepresentation?
It's almost like they convinced people that black is white and white is black.

How do they explain that the kids Bush raised seem less reponsible than those raised by Kerry (and his ex-wife)?

In the wake of the election, some commentator mentioned that Rove's strategy is always to hit his oponent's strengths rather than his weaknesses. Kerry is a concerned, consientious, serious person so they translate this to "weirdo".
