Taylor Marsh: Rush Limbaugh has a point about Kerry
http://www.taylormarsh.com/archives_view.php?id=26808

I've been warning people for weeks how ugly Marsh has gotten in her advocacy of Hillary, and as an attack dog against Obama. Really beyond the pale vitriol hate. And I am telling you she doesn't care about Edwards. She USES Edwards to bash Obama. But I can't BELIEVE this post she wrote about Kerry.

First she feigns outrage that Kerry didn't inform Edwards first of his endorsement -- gee, seeing that JRE wouldn't return Kerry's calls in the past, why exactly did Kerry need to call him? And Gore didn't exactly call to tell Kerry that he was endorsing Dean, and when Kerry did call Gore, Gore hung UP on him. This is just how it goes. What a crap post, and then it gets even UGLIER:

I've had the pleasure of talking to John Kerry and dealt closely with his team before the 2006 elections. He is a true American patriot. So I don't say this lightly. It also doesn't have anything to do with Kerry not endorsing Hillary Clinton. But frankly, his nod is the last thing she needs.

"The haughty John Kerry has endorsed Barack Obama. In South Carolina? ... He's just an idiot." - Rush Limbaugh (today on his show)

Rush is an incoherent bloviating gasbag. Alert the media.

But these establishment endorsements are just silly, even insulting. It's long past time to begin unsubscribing from all of these DC Democrats who use their mailing lists to push the Democratic faithful into thinking that their opinion is more important than what the people think. These mailing lists are also the remnants of the big old boy network that gang up on candidates The Establishment has decided aren't passing muster. John Edwards comes to mind.

Edwards has a passionate agenda. He deserved better than this from John Kerry.

Most of us ignore these mailers. Instead, it's time to start unsubscribing and taking the power away from people like John Kerry who wield it through his mailing list from the last presidential election.

Message sent, received, and totally rejected.

UPDATE: This is just too priceless not to share. From reader PamelaB on Kerry endorsing Obama.:

"Senator 'I was for it before I was against it' just endorsed Senator 'I was against it before I funded it."

Ouch.

Two disgusting right wing memes in one post. It's an endorsement for cripe's sake. Yet suddenly he went from being someone Marsh respected to someone any ole' right wing characterization is not low enough for her to write. There is absolutely NO DEFENSE for Taylor Marsh if you are a Kerry supporter. I am drawing that line in the sand.

1. People join up with people like them
This all makes perfect sense. People tend to associate with, and write like, people that are similar to them.

John Kerry and Barack Obama have much in common, so it makes sense that Kerry would endorse Obama.

In following Taylor Marsh's posts on the campaign, I've noticed how much she is sounding like Rush Limbaugh. It is simply a natural progression for Taylor Marsh to now be quoting Rush Limbaugh.

2. I've also found her increasingly, inexplicably, bizarrely hateful
It makes me wonder whether there's either (a) some personal revenge involved and/or (b) payment involved. It's just SOO weird.

3. Yes, one of the reasons she used to be a fun blogger to read
was that she was almost universally supportive of all Democrats running, or who might run, for President in '08, and practically endorsed JK for '08 several times. I think she preferred only Gore to JK, and she was also very supportive of Obama. Within the past year, she's become so over the top with her nastiness that she must have either hit her head on something, or has developed some questionable ties.

4. When I read that post
it made me wish that Taylor Marsh had an email list that I could unsubscribe from.

I hadn't been reading her since she went bonkers for Hillary, but this was just vicious.

6. Anybody here have a blog that's still linking to hers?
Might be a good time to rethink that....

9. Aargh, fixed now! (I can explain!)
When blogger sold out to google and I converted my blog, then when I went to edit the template (where the sidebar links are), I always got some message that I had to do something else to "convert" the template. It sounded like it was going to be a PITA so I never did it.

Well I just tried again, and guess what? Apparently google fixed that "feature" because I was able to edit the links and save it just like I always did with the old blogger. Whew! I'm glad that's done!

(Oh and I updated a bunch of other links that have changed, like Dem Daily and Tough Donkey)

7. Taylor Marsh is a very sad example of a blogger thinking she is an important person.

Sadly, this race is a race between establishment and others. Sadly, people like Taylor Marsh and kos are now part of this establishment.

And she moderates posts, so she can throw attacks like that and not get the angry comments they deserve.

11. Taylor Continues Her Rant on Kerry

http://www.taylormarsh.com/archives_view.php?id=26811 (different one)

Hell hath no fury like a woman's scorn...

I hear Sen Claire McGaskill will also be endorsing Obama. Taylor is originally from Missouri.

12. The Clinton camp must be stunned, because
Taylor Marsh has lost her mind.

From the link, she quotes an article:

"Kerry endorsed Barack because he's going to teach him to fight back."

Then says:

Oh God. This had to be a joke. You're kidding, I assumed.

I guess she forgot her work with the Patriot Project and writing this:

John Kerry Fights for Patrick Murphy

<...>

When Senator John Kerry heard about Fitzgerald swiftboating Murphy he minced no words.

<...>

John Kerry is standing beside Patrick Murphy because he knows how it feels. Kerry made a pledge after it happened to him that he would never let it happen to another veteran without him standing up and fighting back hard.

link

Patrick Murphy won! LOL

When Kerry endorsed Obama, he didn't mince words. I suppose Taylor is just desperate. Was she shunned?

13. McCaskill? Interesting
I have also read rumors about Ben Nelson. Also recently Kent Conrad and (I am not sure I am correct on this one) Dorgan. It is interesting and telling that the endorsements run the gamut from liberals through centrists to "there are some republicans I like better".

14. OMG. That is bizarre. It doesn't even make me mad anymore.
It is so nuts. Please tell me that what Taylor Marsh writes isn't what Hillary Clinton thinks to herself; otherwise, we may be in BIG trouble.

What is funny about her reference to his remark to a NV reporter about Hillary's healthcare plan in '94 is that it is nothing new. Last summer Kerry talked about the fact that he and his colleagues in the Senate told the Clinton WH that if they compromised in a few different ways that they could get the healthcare bill passed. The Clinton WH (i.e. Hillary Clinton) said NO, and now we have an even greater crisis than before. It is good that he points this out, although I thought his criticism was fairly mild. It is actually not Obama related, but was his honest opinion for a long time.

16. Here are the headlines of her last five posts on
Huffington post.

Maybe she is the designated anti-Obama person. She must be getting paid to do this. It is hard to believe that it is out of concern for the country. It is hard to believe that she headlined a column "...Obamas Cannibalism" without race-baiting intentions.

"Obama's Negatives Higher than Clinton and Edwards"

"Obama Camp in Disarray After Bhutto Assassination"

"Obama's Present Vote Ignored Dangers of Sex Shops Near Schools"

"Why are Karl Rove and the Neocons Endorsing Obama?"

"Barack Obama's Progressive Cannibalism"

"Barack Obama's Progressive Cannibalism"

17. Taylor Marsh's shameless aggressive attacks
Edited on Sun Jan-20-08 06:49 PM by cadmium
on Obama and secondarily John Kerry really make her seem like a disgusting human being. If she has been commissioned to do this by the Clintons it is no wonder why so many Democrats who know them are not supporting Hillary. These kind of scorched earth attacks against fellow democrats will hurt all democrats, including Hillary in November.

Clearly race-baiting, he headlined an article on Huffingto post "Obama's Progressive Cannibalism"

19. The content of the article is
about Obama hitting back against Paul Krugman and about Oprah being nonsupportive of unions. People generally read headlines more than the content of articles. She coud be just stupid and does not understand how using the word cannibal would be racist, I think it is deliberate.
