1. Synergy

We have synergy, sisters and brothers! That rare combination of people who find they have something in common and can get together and talk about it endlessly and with real warmth and affection. Ostensibly it has something to do with John Kerry and that's completely half-true. But it also has to do with the people who come here and the fact that they are a wondrously sincere bunch. I would rather cut off my typing hand than truly offend anyone in here with some mindless and hurtful rant. (And I am a past master of mindless and hurtful rants. Honestly.) This group has a soul, an interesting and throbbing soul and I think we all know how rare a thing that is in the world.

So long live the Kerrycrats, you wonderful, sincere, lusty, funny and passionate group of folks. Tis an honor to come among such a worthy group and I sincerely, from the bottom of my heart, hope I don't screw it up. You guys rock!

2. it's a lifeline

It helps soothe the pain leftover from the election. I helps me not feel like I'm crazy to still be feeling the pain. It's a lot of fun sometimes! You online friends just crack me up: there I am, sometimes, sitting at the computer laughing out loud, and my husband looks at me like I'm a little wacky in the head. I also come here to learn--people post good information and links to articles that I would never have found on my own.

Thanks so much, everyone! I'm going to keep on contributing my ideas and tidbits I find, and hope you all do the same! The best part is knowing someone is here who will actually read and respond--on the other forums it's hit or miss whether anybody does. And let's never forget the guy who brought us all together! :)

while he continues to do most excellent stuff. Check out how low the Kucinich supporters' posts are. Noone flames him. That's said because he is excellent, but no flames equal a lot less posts. Too bad there.
