New report out on nuclear and biological weapons control

This has been an issue that Sen. Kerry has expressed concern an interest in for most of his Congressional career. The new report that is out today syncs with a lot of what Sen. Kerry has been saying in terms of preventing deadly nuclear and biological weapons from falling into the hands of terrorist groups.

Interesting stuff. The incoming Obama Administration is planning on appointing a White House official to oversee this effort. Sen. Kerry has been advocating for a more focused effort directed out of the White House and integrated into the national security oversight for quite a while.

This is a sobering report to read. However, it is also promising to see how seriously the Obama Admin takes this issue.

traveled to Russia. So, this will be a big piece of U.S. policy, no doubt.
