JK: "Make them accept it" re the need to finally seat Franken!

I have been feeling massively irritated about Coleman's/GOP stalling tactics on this -- LOVE this letter!

Subject: make them accept it

Hello Luftmensch,

Enough is enough. Minnesota needs two Senators. And Republicans need to accept the fact that we will have 60 Democratic Senators.

We're almost there.

Still, the national Republican party has sunk hundreds and hundreds of thousands of dollars into endless legal wrangling, thinking that it's money well-spent if it just blocks seating another Democratic Senator who can help pass President Obama's agenda.

Can you please help Al Franken fight back against the money of the Republican Party and win his legal fight? Click on this link to help:

The legal bills are constantly mounting, but the Republican Party fights on. They know what we can do to strengthen our country with another Democratic vote, the 60th vote that can break filibusters and end the obstructionism of the Republican Party. Al Franken won, but every day the Republican Party delays his certification is a day they count as a victory.

Let's give Al the resources he needs to put an end to this fight and start fighting the battles that really matter, the battles that will improve our country and start meeting the challenges of the 21st century.

Please make a contribution to Al's legal fund to give him the resources he needs to fight:

Thank you so much for your help. The fights for health care reform and a new energy future are approaching a crucial stage, and I'll be in touch to keep you updated on what's happening and other ways you can fight for a better future.

Sincerely,
John Kerry

1. Nice letter
The fight for health care reform and energy really are the reason they are continuing this undemocratic unwillingness to accept a valid election. Good for Kerry using his email.

2. I cheered when I saw it!
We know, even if not many of the general public do, just how much of his energy, money and "political will" has been behind every Democratic victory of the last few years. Seeing this gives me hope that Franken will be seated SOON.

3. I cheered, too!
And you're right about the amount of his energy that's gone into these victories.
A frustrated friend in western MA told me that a fellow Dem, JUST LAST WEEK, was complaining that JK "didn't help other Democrats." My friend set that misinformed guy straight, with a deluge of facts and figures. : ). Really, it's amazing what JK is done. And so often unrecognized, unnoticed.. .

5. Received it also and I am thrilled Senator Kerry is one of the first to call out this farce.
Senator Franken should have been in the senate doing his job months ago. I wondered where the DNC and other Democrats were on this matter. No one said much at all- including H. Reid. And, Schumer mentioned it once. I hope that Senator Franken receives more support from his own party once he is legally allowed to serve. Hooray for Senator Kerry for finally recognizing that enough is enough and asking that we help Franken. I just knew he would be the one senator that would not just allow this to continue without pushing back.
