Amazing that a small state Senator most people never heard of can have that kind of power even when he is against the President and the Senators who are taking the lead on these issues. Yet he is chair of Finance and that is where is power comes from.

It is interesting that Kerry seems to have enlisted Warner as such a strong ally. You would think he might have the ability to pull in some Republicans, who might otherwise miht have been unreachable.
