2. He withdrew the amendment

and said that he will submit it when the bill comes to the floor. Is it because he knew it was not going to pass in committee and has a better chance in the full Senate? He could still have offered it later, even if it failed in committee, from what I understand. Can somebody enlighted me?

time to get this bill out of committee. The Medicare drug bill vote today was disgusting. The Finance Committee is a failure. Enough stalling. Time to put this in front of the full Senate.
