I never knew "Support the Troops" was a politically incorrect term. It really surprised me how many people totally missed the point of my post. I attached a thread that was started on Valentines day that was a stunning tribute to Veterans.

We are the ones that really "Support the Troops", but the right has captured and framed the issue. To many of the people that responded to my post, the only way a soldier is not a "torturer" is when he/she deserts the unit and leaves the country or goes to jail.

I am sorry, but I do not blame the soldiers for the crimes of this administration. It is our duty to fight for them. It is so easy to sit behind a computer and brush them off with a simple "they volunteered". Most of them did not volunteer for this.

1. yeah, these people really hurt our side

they just add support to the Republican argument that support the troops=support the war . and when people have that view it makes it very hard to get them to listen to criticism of the war.

2. I agree. Those comments make me wish Skinner had figured

out a ranking system so people could rank down comments so they would disappear. He mentioned it at one time but people didn't seem to want it.
