Sorry I have not been able to participate in discussions here lately. I have been trying to check in daily and see what is going on and have really appreciated all the threads and discussion, even if I have not been able to post in them.

I wish everyone here a Happy, warm and safe Thanksgiving! I am still in the process of settling my Mom after her stroke. We are trying to "place" her in facilities for her long-term care and coordinating that with my family, (with all the communications that go on in a big family) has been incredibly time-consuming and exhausting. But I am still here reading and still a part of this group, just a somewhat silent one for now.

Again, all the best on this Holiday to everyone here! You guys are definitely one of the things in my life I am so thankful for this year.

Thinking of you often and hoping all is going well with your mom and your family. My own dad has so many health problems right now that I find myself being incredibly grateful when good things happen for him, and that's how I feel about him spending Thanksgiving with my sister and enjoying a good dinner and NOT HAVING DIALYSIS for FOUR DAYS. :-) It's funny the stuff you end up being thankful for that you never would have imagined!

I, too, am so thankful to have this oasis of sanity and good cheer to visit every day. Wishing you all a warm and happy holiday with family and friends.:grouphug:

I just returned from my long overseas trip, still trying not very successfully to get my bearings. Grateful for the short holiday before I have to get back to work next week. A good and plentiful Thanksgiving to everybody here (and elsewhere)!
