Googling to find some info, I found this gem from James Taranto. I avoided carefully to read the article, that is about Blumenthal, but the first line was too much to ignore:

What an idiot! apparently, writing "senior senator from Massachusetts" sounded too positive in his mind.

The fact though is that they could not find a Kerry comment saying that he was a hero if they looked as hard as they could. Other than listing his medals as defense against the SBVT before the firefighters, even as a young man, I never saw an unsolicited claim that he had a silver star or bronze star. He just says he served.

The WSJ has always been awful, but now they are a Murdoch rag. I wonder if the author has the type of medals Kerry does, which the Navy in 2004 said were properly awarded.
