1. Oddly, can't see any way to view this either live or recorded at SFRC site yet
But it's available here:
http://c-span.org/Watch/Media/2010/05/25/HP/R/33295/Fmr+Sec+of+State+Kissinger+Urges+Nuclear+Treaty+Ratification.aspx

which doesn't guarantee, but MAY mean this might be available later on C-SPAN television...

2. I watchd it on their "live" link - I think it takes a little time before
it is put up in the archive place.

I think you are right that as CSPAN did cover it, it might be on TV.

3. Did you all see this? I turned it on by...
...accident on C-Span2 this afternoon. It was just SO COOL to see Kissinger testify in SFRC with Kerry as chair. I just couldn't get the history out of my head. :) Amazingly historic.

4. I got the same chill of wonder
Impossible not to imagine what each of them was thinking. The proof of worth in both cases was that they were there, doing what they thought was most important for the benefit of the nation and the world. Cool to think of Lugar's own history in this, as well. Amazing to find out that Kissinger will be 87 tomorrow -- he was pretty darn lucid, and I was impressed that he said he'd read the testimony from all the previous hearings on this issue from the current round of SFRC discussions. JK, with his usual grace, was the one who ended the hearing by wishing the former Secretary many happy returns.

5. 'Chill of wonder' describes it...
...perfectly. I also agree with this:

"The proof of worth in both cases was that they were there, doing what they thought was most important for the benefit of the nation and the world."

That's what we need from all our leaders. :hi:
