Another great new campaign email from JK, RE: Ken Buck
I LOL'd at first when I read this. JK is so clever with how he words and puts things! :D But this is 100% true..and all (very effective, imo) humor aside, deadly serious. These people must be stopped--this country's future depends on it!

Hello Tara,

Ken Buck is acting like a man who wants to be voted "Most Likely to be Extreme." That's fine - as long as he's not voted Colorado's next US Senator.

Think I'm kidding? Just being facetious? Just look at what 'ol Ken has said in the last week: he compared being gay to "alcoholism," described a sexual assault case he oversaw as district attorney as a case of "buyer's remorse" on the part of the victim, and topped it all off by calling climate change "a hoax."

We just don't need this at a time when we've got so many real problems to deal with which demand serious, adult leadership.

Help stop Ken Buck. Click here to donate to Senator Michael Bennet's campaign today!
I can't tell you how much I respect and value Michael Bennet. He's made a big impression in our caucus. People listen to Michael - because he's a serious guy, a thoughtful person, and a principled guy. He came here determined to help solve the big problems: fighting climate change, attaining energy independence, creating jobs, changing the way Washington does business.

Ken Buck? Well, he'd change the place too -- in a very dangerous way. He opposes a woman's right to choose even in cases of rape and incest. He has said we should privatize Social Security, get rid of the Department of Education, drop federal student loan programs, and dismantle environmental protections. No wonder Colorado has been the target for more ads by the shadowy outside groups than any other race, with Karl Rove and his friends spending millions of dollars to try to elect Ken Buck and defeat Michael Bennet.

Make a contribution of $25, $50, or $75 now to Michael Bennet's campaign and help us win one of our must-win races this year.

This is a big race - a very big one. Trust me, you don't want to wake up on November 3rd and hear that Ken Buck's coming to the Senate - and realize you didn't stop him when you had a chance. That's why I've found every way I can to help Michael - and why I hope you will too.

Sincerely,

John Kerry

1. I wish I could give in response to all of them.
I'll try to give to as many as I can, even if it's only five bucks.

Uck Buck :)

2. He really is trying to help his fellow Democrats. I have gotten several requests this election
season from Senator Kerry. I try to give a little to them all if I can.

3. I LOVE this sentence. .
We just don't need this at a time when we've got so many real problems to deal with which demand serious, adult leadership.

That summarizes my feelings about the entire political campaign right now. Just learning this week about yet another defiantly anti-environment Republican candidate: Florida's republican candidate for governor, Rick Scott: he's outrageous

Thank you, JK, for your serious, adult leadership.

Keating today.

While slamming Perry at the same time.

Bill Keating will make a great Congressman, while the Boston Globe said about his opponent - the Tea Party's Jeff Perry - that the "questions about Perry are too significant to ignore," while the Cape Cod Times said about him, "the repeated lapses in truthfulness are too serious a breach of trust to support his candidacy in this race." This is as clear a choice as it gets.
