I bet most of us got this in our e-mail inbox. I haven't yet found a way to reproduce it as an image, but it looks like a brand-new newsletter from the Senate Office. New to me, anyway! I think it's spectacular.
I just called the office to ask whether it's available online so we can share it via social media, etc. They said they'd get back to me.
Meanwhile, I can begin to describe it and others can chime in.
It's got a Message from John Kerry:
Dear Luftmensch,
The start of a new year is always a good time to evaluate our priorities and start thinking about all the things we want to get done in the coming year. For starters, we've got to refocus our energy on creating jobs and making the types of investments that will keep America competitive across the globe. As the recent tragedy in Arizona sadly underscored, Congress needs to find a way to come together and confront these challenges without acrimony or divisive arguments, but with honest debate and discussion about how to move our nation forward.
I know we still have a long way to go before we get our economy back on solid ground, but what I've seen in Massachusetts has me convinced we're moving in the right direction. Economic recovery funds have saved or created more than 13,000 jobs here. I've met small business owners who are ready to expand and create even more jobs and I'm going to keep up the fight to help them do just that. In the meantime, if there's anything I can do to assist you and your family please don't hesitate to get in touch.
Thank you.
John
Then it's got articles (with pictures, yay!) having to do with constituent services, recent JK legislation and initiatives, a Foreign Relations Update, and photos of recent Kerry visits to MA communities and businesses. There's even a link to video of the CAP speech on breaking partisan gridlock!
Really a great step forward in my opinion and I hope they get a lot of great feedback and keep it going at this level of excellence.
