OMG, Kerry roots against MA for CT.
Just joking. It is a hockey game between Yale and Harvard.

The No. 2/3 Bulldogs drew not only the sellout crowd that has become routine for their home games, but also some of the biggest Democrats in New England politics. Governor Dan Malloy and Senator Richard Blumenthal LAW ’73 joined Massachusetts Senator John Kerry ’66 in the stands. “I really admire these guys,” said Kerry, who was rooting for the Elis even though many of the visitors are his constituents. “I played JV here and I’m amazed by their speed and quickness. They’re great to watch.”

Good to see they have some rest!

1. lol - sounds like he had run
Glad he routed for his school, especially as he had been on their JV team.

Here is what he is doing today - and the Boston Globe wrote about it!

Tomorrow Senator John Kerry is touring MassChallenge, one of two Massachusetts programs that's part of President Barack Obama’s “Startup America Partnership.''

The program is aimed at creating high-tech jobs by supporting small businesses and start-ups.

TechStars Boston is also an initial partner in the effort.

MassChallenge is located on Marina Park Drive in Boston. Kerry is scheduled to stop by at 11 a.m.

So, I guess I can't complain any more that Johnson wrote a similar article earlier this week on Brown.

3. I love this snipet in the article about the SuperBowl today.

“Teresa loves her team and it was a sign of things to come when as a wedding gift her family gave us ‘his and hers’ Terrible Towels,’’ Kerry told me last week, referring to the telltale yellow hand towels with black lettering that Steelers fans wave during their rallying cries. “This wasn’t the matchup I was hoping for,’’ he added of tonight’s game, “but I guess with the Patriots out I am now free to root for whichever team I want — as long as it’s the Steelers.’’

5. Thanks! I also liked this preceding paragraph

Being a Boston reporter in Washington also means covering many personalities who also root for the Patriots. Like John Kerry, Massachusetts’ senior US senator, who was known to leave the presidential campaign trail in 2004 to pop into a bar to catch a bit of the Pats game.

It's weird how little (good)press Sen. Kerry has gotten re his enthusiastic support of local Boston teams. Plus, unlike a lot of other supposed "regular/sports-guy" politicians (W, and some local MA politicians I don't need to name . .), Sen. Kerry is a true athlete.
