I'm new to DU, but I was drawn to this group from the get-go.

I remember casting my first vote (right out of high school) for JK first in the California primary and later in in the general election.

Although I was naturally devastated with his loss, I've closely followed JK's career post-2004. I've really enjoyed and appreciated what a foreign policy maven he's become since he became Foreign Relations Chairman. I also thought he was quite an effective Obama campaign surrogate and his 2008 DNC speech was outstanding!

And since I've moved to Somerville, MA in the past couple years, it's been great hearing firsthand about his work as the Massachusetts senior senator.

So yeah, that's about it! Hope to have a great time around here!
