Kerry and Brown and the veteran bill - very biased
biased statements:

Brown, a Republican, said in a statement that he'd introduced a similar measure, called the "Hire A Hero tax credit," but that bill had stalled because of partisan "gridlock." < bias: ignores Kerry is a cosponsor of bill that actually passed>

"In addition to the tax incentives, the bill we passed takes new steps that will help our veterans find jobs," Brown said in a video address to veterans. "It will revamp the old Transition Assistance Program so our armed services can better prepare active duty members to transition from the military to the civilian workplace."

Kerry also released a video address to veterans. <bias: both put out video statements, the junior Senator's is quoted and listed first >

Both Brown and Kerry are themselves veterans, Kerry serving in the Naval Reserve during the Vietnam war, and Brown a member of the Massachusetts Army National Guard since he was 19. < bias: Brown is NOT a veteran as he was not on active duty and they try to equate Kerry's to Brown's by saying (correctly) that he was in the Naval Reserve. >

John Kerry, Scott Brown underscore military backgrounds with Veterans Day statements

The state’s two US senators - both military men - are recognizing Veterans Day.

Senator John Kerry announced today that Joseph Bykowski, an Iraqi War veteran, will serve as the new Massachusetts veterans liaison in his Boston office.

“I’ve always been proud by the record of military service we’ve had on our staff, including the now-mayor of Newton, Setti Warren, who served in Iraq, and my current staffer, Sebastian Hazzard, who has served two tours of duty in Iraq,” Kerry, a Navy veteran, said in a statement. “Joe is now the latest full-time staffer who brings this unique perspective to my staff.

And Senator Scott Brown, amid a five-stop schedule of Veterans Day events, announced the members of his “Veterans for Brown” reelection campaign steering committee follows 6 paragraphs of campaign coverage for Brown

Back to Bykowski

So, basically, Johnson makes a piece of propaganda under the cover of a piece on veteran's day.

6. Moving veteran's day "morning meeting" at the Fessenden School
Edited on Fri Nov-11-11 11:49 PM by karynnj
A student ( or really young teacher) read a letter Kerry wrote on an earlier Veteran's day honoring his friend Pershing who was killed in Vietnam and who had attended that school with Kerry.

https://www.fessenden.org/podium/default.aspx?t=52562&a=192616&play=1

It was on Kerry's facebook page so he would see it.

I just continue to be amazed that someone of such integrity, guts and depth gets so much @#$ in the media. The fact that we treat shallow people like Reagan (who by the way never saw a day of battle)like heroes(that new statue at the DC airport is just ridiculous) and treat REAL heroes like Kerry as just another politician to be mocked just drives me NUTS.

FYI, those have to be teachers, no way they're students : ). Pretty good musicians, too-- I liked the song a lot.

I've driven by that school and wondered what it was.. now I know!
