get out the barf bags - Mittens hits NH
http://www.theunionleader.com/articles_showfast.html?article=55744

This is what passes for rethuglican wit:

Viewed as a potential Republican Presidential candidate in 2008, Romney joked about the differences between Washington, D.C., and Massachusetts, alluding to the small number of Republicans in his state, missing mobster Whitey Bulger, the Big Dig and Democratic Presidential candidate John Kerry.

"In Washington, Code Orange means there is a terror alert. Code Orange in Massachusetts means John Kerry just got out of another tanning booth," Romney said.

On his qualifications for national office:

Romney was praised by U.S. Sen. Judd Gregg and U.S. Rep. Charles Bass, who attended the event along with former Gov. John H. Sununu and Executive Councilors Ray Wieczorek of Manchester and Ruth Griffin of Portsmouth.

Griffin introduced the governor and alluded to his "good looks," saying: "Gov. Romney, you are really easy on the eyes."

Romney is expected to seek his second term as Massachusetts governor in 2006.

Could have fooled me.

2. He really wants to run for Governor?

Or does he not think his comments will be heard in MA? Aren't the orange Kerry jokes getting old - especially when he turned up normal colored the day after all the Republicans decided he was orange?

3. No one ever called Mittens

a wit. He's not very bright. And he really ought to fire his writer if he paid someone to come up with that line.

I can't see how he runs for re-election here. He genuinely angered the populace by shopping himself around to red staters by bashing us. He's been a do-NOTHING governor. And in true rethug fashion he ran as a moderate and that has been proven a lie.

I don't think he planned it this way, but I think he's boxed himself out of the governor's office, and his only choice now is to run for president. The cat's out of the bag in MA. Did he really think he could run around the country bashing Kerry and we wouldn't notice?

4. It's more serious than that.

Romney has presided over a period with one of the largest job losses in MA history. He was vacationing out-of-state when several large mergers went through that will cost the state even more jobs. (Gillette, Fleet Bank, etc.)

Mittens is a tone-deaf moran. Granted, Rethugs don't actually care if their people are morans as long as the re-packaging consultants have at least a little something to run with. Mittens is a rich bastard who speaks tough and likes to bash his own constituents over the head. Since his people are Mass Libs and deserve it, the Rethug king-makers like it. He can be had. He is a carpet-bagging liar who has done nothing in the Corner Office. (MA doesn't have a Govs Mansion because we don't believe our Pols should live on our dime. We are very democratic. We don't elevate our elected people without merit or believe it is fiscally frugal to pay for them to live in fancy houses. They can do that on their own or not run.)

BTW, I want this race real bad. This is going to be fun. Either we run Mittens out of the state because he cold-dead knows he is going to lose or he runs and loses. Either way, I'm having some fun.

It's nice to see people calling him out on this issue.
