Crap, I scratched my cornea

Nothing too serious. There's a label maker at work that peels the backing off the label as it comes out. A long trail of the backing comes out so you occasionally have to rip it off. I did so with a bit too much flair. Right across my eye. Right in my field of vision. A paper cut. How could anyone but me give myself a paper cut in the eye.

Luckily I was at work, so the emergency room visit won't cost me. They gave me drops and ointment.

But if you guys don't here much from me for a couple of days, it's because I'm resting my eye. Hopefully by Monday.

My daughter scratched her eye like that when she was a first grader--our new kitten did it. He was inside a cardboard box, and she put her eye up to a hole in it to see him--and you know how kitties like to swipe their paws out of little holes at things. Antibiotic drops and an eye patch for a few days, and she was fine.

i can't imagine what that must be like, especially since i can't even stand paper cuts on my finger. i hate them more than a "regular" cut.

13. Been there done that

Should be feeling better in a few days. Did they put a patch on it ? I had ointment and a patch and was fine in a couple of days. I did mine on a rose bush, was reaching over into my neighbors yard to get one of my kid's toys and boom, never saw it coming.
