Anyone else find this kinda funny?

Why do you find it funny? I think I might be missing something. Oh, and if he were having that in North Carolina, it would be a Pig Picken', not a Roast.

3. In New England,

at least as far as I know, "pig roasts" are not common. We have cookouts.

It seemed oddly incongruous for this area. No big deal. It just made me laugh.

That's some good eatin'! As far as I know, it's a very Southern thang so why he's having one in NH, I don't know. We have cookouts too, but they're different than a pig pickin'. Also in the South, barbeque is very rarely used as a verb. It's a noun and barbeque is what you get from a pig pickin'. More than you wanted to know, eh?

6. PA has pig roasts.

Some friends of mine do a HUGE "pig roast" every year. In PA, a little north of Philly.

Of course, PA is a hodge podge of cultures. And I hadn't heard it called that until I met people in this group. But since then I've seen ads for others.

Maybe just depends on the crowd you hang out with? :shrug:
