Bush, Clinton, Bush*, ???

I was reading an earlier thread about Big Dog doing a little early campaigning for Hillary and something occurred to me. When kids who will be age 18 - 20 in 2008 vote in their very first presidential election, they will never have been alive when someone named Bush or Clinton did not occupy the White House. (Well duh, you say.)

This just isn't right. Think of the children. Vote John Kerry.

1. My youngest is voting in 2008 for the first time and already hopes

she gets to vote for Kerry. (I have not influenced her vote either.)

3. My daughter voted first time in '04.

She was a Kerry voter. I'm sure her mailed back absentee ballot was what swung Massachusetts. (I kid my daughter all the time about this. I know she voted for Kerry. Of course I was an influence, along with those showings of Fahrenheit 9/11 and the dozens of books that came out last year and the inability to stand seeing The Idiot King on the tv and all that stuff.)

Sigh, my daughter is not a registered Dem. (Where oh where did I go wrong?) But she is registered and she did tell me she is a liberal, so there is hope and I don't have to go and stick my head in the oven and threaten to turn on the gas. The Dem registration will come in time. So far there haven't been any Rethug boyfriends so I am still hopeful.

5. My daughter's boyfriend's one criteria-

ABB. He likes and supported Kerry, passed out voter registrations, helped with the campaign, but it was mostly to get rid of Bush*.
Hey, I wasn't complaining. He did his part.

6. One of my best friend's sons is a proud liberal and he's only 13!

He'll just miss voting in '08. He has his own garage band (he plays guitar) so for a gift before the election I bought him "The Electras" CD. He loves Kerry so he thought it was so cool to have his band's CD. When you see kids that age getting excited about the Democratic party, you know there is hope!
