1. Is this on Cspan 2?
It says something different is supposed to be going on on the Cspan Internet site, but by listening to it they are obviously still in session.

kg posted about earlier. The bill was changed from yesterday.

kg's post-

Kerry, Wyden, Schumer to Hold Enery Bill Press Conference Today
July 28th, 2005
Senators Say Energy Bill Fails Americans

Today - Thursday, July 28 - Senator John Kerry (D-Mass.), Senator Ron Wyden (D-Ore.), Sen. Chuck Schumer (D-N.Y.) will hold a press conference to take on the energy bill which has returned from conference committee.

The latest version of the energy bill is a significant departure from the bipartisan legislation passed out of the Senate this year. The conference committee stripped several key provisions from the bill, including one that would have saved a million barrels of oil a day, one addressing climate change, and one requiring the use of renewable energy sources for a small percentage of electricity. The Senate may vote on the energy bill as early as this week.

This bill is worse than the one the Senate passed a few years ago. Global Warming language taken out, 50% of the monies to alternatives taken out. Reduce oil consumption by 1 million barrels a day, gone.

(This really is a horrible bill.)

65. I don't know; maybe it's because I haven't posted much
on Kerry, or much at all, in a while.

Sometimes I love to watch and keep up with what JK has been doing, but a lot of the time it hurts too much. Does that make sense? I guess I got too emotionally attached during the campaign.

But yesterday when I saw that picture I loved it so much I just had to come here and show y'all :) I couldn't help it.

Your thread was much longer than mine! I hope it gets on the Greatest page. People should hear about what he said today.

It is the next step in the grassroots movement.

I will be thinking about you tomorrow. Be safe, and report in when you can - start a new thread - okay? Make sure you've got plenty of oil(ugh), air in the tires, and take along some extra water incase your car overheats ( that happened to me once, and now I always take a jug of water) Sorry, I've been a worry-wart since the day I was born.

Looking forward to hearing about all of your experiences this weekend.
