As for the Hilliary deal that is a bad thing because some of the media that is working and being paid off by Rover will try to make a major major deal of it as well. They already suspect more pay offs and the will be digging deap on this one. I hope they prove more. It would be great to prove they were paying off Sanitty and Shitbaugh. 6. I just watched MSNBC and Pat Buchanan and a dem senator

(sorry didn't catch his name, I was in shock) were in agreement that this must be investigated and those responsible should be subjected to legal prosecution. Buchanan said that he wants to know how many contracts the government has with outside PR firms and lobbyists and 501c's to improve their image or push their agenda. The senator said he wants to know how many other members of the media are on the payroll.

It looks like this might be the thing that catches the bastards. Wouldn't that be lovely!!!

I am so tired of the 'Rove is a genius' idea. He is not. He is ruthless. He employed tactics that any mob boss could have written out. Divide and conquer is the oldest tactic in the world. they stole it. I try to get the naysayers and the kerry bashers and the negative dems to appreciate what Kerry was able to accomplish despite the fraud and theft. He got more votes than anyone before him and

(1) the weed was campaigning since the 1st day he stepped into the WH;
(2) the media was ignoring Kerry/Edwards, so much so that even posters on this board would ask "where's Edwards" during the campaign;
(3) the media did not investigate any of the allegations made against the weed and his admin, including, but not limited to, lies about why the war in Iraq, Halliburton, AWOL, 9/11 pet goat fear, etc.
(4) the weed blatantly violated federal law by campaigning on military bases (under the guise of pep rallies for the troops);
(5) the weed got free air time and media coverage;
(6) the media parroted the SBV lies against Kerry and never approached the story as the lies they were

I could go on and on. Kerry did a tremendous job - he won and folks need to realize how well he did. In order to address your weaknesses, you have to recognize your strengths first.

17. Kerry Moved On And Has Kept His Head Held High All The Way!

Kerry is a real leader who understands you don't always get what you want right away and things don't always happen the way we would like for them to, he understands that you have to stand up and be counted and fight for what you want and what you believe in. It's like Kerry himself said this is not the time for Democrats to just give up. We must fight these bastards and we must stop them from doing more damage than they have already. Kerry is not sitting around pissing and moaning over what might have been he is fighting for what will be and so should we.

I have major respect for this man for so many reasons. He truly is one of the greatest politicians I have ever seen in my time. I know he would make a excellent president and he would be a well respected president at home and abroad. I like so many others get over raged with anger at the garbage that has been said about this great man and always will. That is something I truly cannot help. Because I will never understand the pure blind stupidity that some people have when It comes to this man. They truly need to get to know him better and learn what the hell they are talking about before before opening there mouth.

Kerry is here to stay wether people like it or not. The man is doing the right thing by moving on and working towards the future and bringing down chimp and his cronies. And I feel confident so confident in fact that if anyone can bring chimp and his cronies it is Kerry. He my friends is "the man with the plan" and he is always "at the right place, at the right time, anytime you need him!"

Well that and people who claim that the primaries were stolen from them by Kerry, thats my number 2 peeve I guess. It makes no sense that it would be rigged for Kerry knowing that both Clinton and Gore who are democratic establishment as you get passed over Kerry for vice president because of his more liberal views, for instance Clinton passed over Kerry for Al Gore in 1992 because Gore was one of only ten democrats to vote for the original Gulf War Resolution and Gore passed over Kerry for Joe Lieberman because of Lieberman's criticism of Clinton for the Lewinsky scandal and he was perceived as a more moderate. It makes no sense to me that the more moderate establishment would rig it for Kerry who in many ways is a slightly more moderate Ted Kennedy democrat.

but I didn't into it with other people about it. I wasn't on DU then either, so I didn't hear a lot of the violent debates with a lot of the various candidates supporters. I cannot imagine nominating a candidate purely on the basis of being electable. True, we are in dire straits with this regime, but I don't think that is ever grounds for selling out.

They lift my spirits. It was Kerry from Day 1 for me, too. I was just waiting for him to announce. There was a period last fall when I felt like Bill Murray in Groundhog Day. Every morning I woke up to the same goddamned news report, "Kerry trails Dean in the latest NH polls by 20 - 30 - 40 points". And that one memorable morning when some sadass poll came out saying Dean was ahead of Kerry in MA as well. In those days the Kerry forum really helped me out.

I never worried about to be honest with you. He has had tougher battles than what he had in the primaries and he come from behind and kick butt! Good example of that was his Senate race against Weld. I was shocked over the election itself. But hey he did a great job there as well he come closer to beating a incumbent president in war time (Although we can't prove it I honestly believe he won) and he got the second highest number of votes for any canidate in history. This doesn't have the sexual allure of the Clinton sex scandal, so it won't make headlines. I doubt that 2% of the US public even knows the administration paid off a "journalist".

Every time something embarassing comes out, people at DU say "THIS is the thing that'll bring 'em down". No, no it won't. Whatever *it* is, it is not the final nail in the coffin.
