Oh no. Cotnoir charged with attempted murder.

This is really sad.

Can't hang around now but thought I'd post it in case you all hadn't seen it.

(a thought - the guy who fired a shotgun near the protestors in Crawford - he didn't get charged with anything, did he? Of course he had a lot more space and managed not to hit anyone with shrapnel. Still.)

1. He was charged the day they arrested him
It's really sad. Very sad. It also ticks me off that he is in Bridgewater State instead of getting real help.

Tay Tay, anyone from MA, is it still as bad as it used to be -- Bridgewater?

2. Not sure about the state of the Bridgewater facility
But I sure as hell hope they take into account the damage done to this man by *'s war. Him and countless others.

4. Well, it just won 'Facility of the Year'
Edited on Mon Aug-22-05 07:54 PM by TayTay
which is kind of sad in a hole 'nuther way. (Best Hospital for the Criminally Disturbed or Insane. Yeah, Yeah, go Mass. We got the best nut-house, oh yeah, oh yeah. Who's number one baby!)

The number of deaths is down, in-house murders and suicides are somewhat down and the facility is now being served by students from U-Mass Amherst Medical School. (It is also a facility that trains cops on how to deal with the mentally disturbed, so there is that.)

On the other hand, it is touted for being highly diverse. (I shit you not.) http://www.ncchc.org/pubs/CC/profiles/17-4.html

Diverse Population
This hospital is exceptional in many ways, but especially in the diversity of patients served.

I have no idea how to top that one. I know Massachusetts is liberal, but, ahm, geez, winning an award in part because we have a diverse group of mental ill people in a State Hospital for the Criminally Insane just ahm, well, geez, who'd a thunk it?

3. This is so very sad.
The things this man has seen are simply unimaginable to any of us. While I'm never one to advocate violence, I do hope that what he has been through will be taken into consideration. I fear that in the years to come, there will be more incidences like this one thanks to Shrub and his war. I feel badly for Mr. Cotnoir and his family.
