I was just wondering, ow long have you been on the Kerry forum.

TayTay: started here in Nov of 2004. (For obvious reasons.)

2. I officially joined DU on May 28th, 2005

and paid up so I could participate in the Kerry group within a couple of days. I've been reading DU (and the Kerry group) since late last year. It's helped me to hold on to what little bit of sanity I have left.

3. Joined DU in early 2003

Posted very little, as Kerry was under attack even then, on this Democratic site. Of those few post one was deleted because I told a poster he wasn't very democratic. Geez what was I thinking. :eyes: I thought I was responding in an honest democratic way, considering the hate fest that was allowed and still sadly is.

I went to JohnKerry.com in early 2003 and the blog opened in August, but being the shy person I am, I joined the blog in September and there I stayed.

Then the blog closed. :cry: I still wanted to keep the Kerry fight going, I did get involved with another site, but I needed something more.

I found this forum, and as usual my shy side took over and I lurked for awhile and then just had to join (spring 2005, I think), I had to get among the voices of common sense.

This forum is like a breath of fresh air. :grouphug:

5. I did a search and found my earliest post was December 10, 2004.

I'm not sure exactly when the group was first formed. It was at earliest a couple of weeks after the election.

I LOVE John Kerry
i must be the first one to post on this forum. i will just say a few things about John Kerry. i guess others could add or respond in any way as a way to start off on this forum.

through the campaign i have learned a lot about John Kerry and i just loved him more everytime. some of my favorite times were when i saw him at "town hall" type events where he would just go around answering people's questions. he doesn't just have knowledge and understanding of the issues but he is a very good listener. he is so patient with the people and you can tell he is concerned and wants to help. 6. Joined DU in November 2004

Never posted in the Kerry blog, but did some in the forum. I too was sad when the blog closed. I started posting in Election Results and GD/P before lurking here in February. Thanks for the star. :hi:

7. I think I started reading soon after the election

and started to post in either very late December or early January. It was just so sad after the election. I saw a link somewhere mention the Common Ground site - I went and posted for a while but found it very divisive. I remembered Elizabeth Edwards mentioning DU on the Kerry blog.

So I came - found it was a much larger forum but was horrified that some people were bashing Kerry more than I could comfortably bash Bush. There was one thread where a particularly nasty poster told a person asking something like giving Kerry some credit as a good Democrat that if they thought that, they should just stay in the John Kerry group. I wish I could remember who this nasty poster was, because I then clicked on groups and found there was a John Kerry group. All thanks to a nasty Kerry basher!

10. I just started maybe a month or so ago.

I didn't even know this forum existed! (I didn't know gd from dg or dj or anything! (just kidding about the dg and dj!)

The person who invited me gave me the DU dictionary and even helped give me my star. And yes, I didn't even know what a start was for!

I'm happy to meet all of you in this quiet back area. I like how it's safe from attacks and flames.

When I lost my star after the election and had become upset with DU and the Kerry haters I still had to get it back so I could visit.

After famously admitting in a GD: P thread that I just want to make out with John Kerry. Which I do.
