I think she is from the area that was affected by hurricane Katrina. I hope she was okay and not affected by the storm.

We're supposed to get the brunt of Katrina tonight and tomorrow. They have already closed schools in the surrounding counties here.

I sure will. Katrina is now a tropical storm, but it was a slightly windy when I got home.

BTW: I know she used to post in here, but sending prayers to merh. I heard over in GD that she is ok, but she has lost just about everything.

5. I spoke with her tonight

Katrina was a tropical storm when it passed over her area of Mississippi, and there was some minor damage - they lost a tree and a chimney from the winds, and they don't have phone or power. But she and her family are fine, and the worst of it has passed. I am just glad she doesn't live in Biloxi or Gulfport :scared: My prayers to all those in the Gulf Coast area.

I guess it was just a matter of how close to the Mississippi you were as to how bad the storm was.
