4. This is the signature moment of the second term
Edited on Tue Aug-30-05 07:43 PM by TayTay
It encompasses every tone deaf thing that this POS has done. I am saving the pics of him eating birthday cake, while the dead were being sorted and counted in Mississippi. And he sang and played while New Orleans drowned.

There is simply no place in hell hot enough to put this bastard. God save the United State of America from idiots like this. (And I sense a big, big tipping point on this one.)

5. Is he sucking his thumb?
What's the matter, won't John John give him another hug?

I still find it difficult to believe that this man in President of the United States of America. I betcha if this was August 2004 and he needed votes his lilly white ass would be down in Gulf region right now! Asshole.

6. The cake is not cut yet, Bush has his finger in his mouth
Did he put his finger in the icing? Why does his jacket barely button. I thought his latest phyisical said he lost weight.

7. Weight yes, but hubris has not gone down one iota.
I mean really, look at the massive ego he has to carry around with him, not to mention the weight of all his sins. No wonder his jacket doens't quite fit.

And he looks terrible in a suit. No class. No charm at all. Sigh! There are only so many men who look utterly distinguished in a nice suit. (And utterly hot in jeans.)

And Bush looks increasingly bow- legged in jeans.

9. he looks so much older than in 2000
He looks at least ten years older. And of course the personality shapes the exterior.

I'm re-reading "Don't Think of an Elephant" for a book discussion I'm going to be going to. Bush's callous disregard for Cindy Sheehan and the rest of the peace people fits right in to the "strict father" model. The "father" knows best, and has "made his decision", and those confused children just have to learn who is the boss. No explanations are in order--just do as you are told and go away! He would be weak if he felt their pain. A "father" needs to be tough and fight the terrorists!

The obvious problem with this little scenario, is that he is FAILING at what he is supposed to be doing as a "strict father". So I think that sooner or later the conservatives are going to realize that he isn't the leader they thought he was, who was going to keep them safe in the "dangerous world" that is also part of this model. Some of the conservative columnists are starting to complain that he just keeps repeating slogans and not doing anything that works!

10. 9/11, the Tsunami, and now this
Okay, I'm going to type a forgiving, benefit of the doubt response to all this. Let's assume, for the hell of it, that * actually does give a sh*t. I think the guy is just slow to react to unexpected news. The latest wasn't entirely unexpected, but one could be in denial that a major disaster is going to occur (after all, this was how many Beloxi, MS residents reacted). So in the case of 9/11, the Tsunami, and now Katrina, * was somehow caught unawares, flat footed, a man of inaction. Now I don't pretend to be a mind reader or know what's deep in his heart. So I am going to assume that he DOES feel bad about these tragedies, but somehow doesn't have that innate talent to know that it is the JOB of the president of the United States to LEAD, ASSURE, EXPLAIN, COMFORT. And all of this AT THE RIGHT MOMENT. I NEEDED that asshole on 9/11/01, not 9/12, and he was unbelievably weak and unreassuring in the hours that mattered most. (Luckily, we had Guiliani to fill in for the president. Say what you want about him now, but he was SUCH a comfort to me on 9/11) Once again, he has made another dreadful gaffe. He is incompetent in the most basic, rudimentary skills a commander in chief must have. Now can someone explain to me again why he was reelected????!!!!????
