I am so tired of responding with negatives. I want to change the subject and respond with my best impulses, not my worst.

Hey, I love you kiddo. You know, in the face of tragedy and sorrow and suffering, we need to remember love. It is one of the things that is real in the world and that keeps us going.

This trauma will test us all, drain us all and cause us to say things we would never say if we weren't frustrated and angry. So, I'm done with that. I am turning to the better angels of my own nature. I am turning to love and concern and caring and compassion. I like to think that I have those qualities, when I am at my best. And I need to use them. It will actually help someone and might just keep me sane in this trying time.

So, once again, I love you guys. Just flat out, no exceptions, no conditions, love you crazy bunch of people. You guys rock!

Thanks! I wanted that thread on DU to just show some compassion and hope and bring some people, even if it is just a few, a little hope.

Even a little hope is better than none.

Can you guys back me up on this? I know the first impulse is to strike out at those who strike at you or someone you believe is doing the right thing. But this is poisoning our souls.
