Randi Rhodes, please shut UP about Kerry

I love Randi, and I think she means well, but she just repeated the same stupid lefty-freeper-via-Rove talking points about Kerry's speech. "Why wasn't he saying this in 2004?" "It took him three weeks to approve these similes." (She ridiculed that brilliant bit about Bush's various appointees.) C'mon, Randi, you're smarter than that! And for gods' sake, this was a speech at Brown University, not some press release for the uneducated Bush masses. They can handle it. They can follow a fucking simile.

Sigh. I know, she's probably never been a fan of his (I only started listening to her after the election), but I wish she wouldn't perpetuate that "too intellectual" crap. Blech.

Jon Stewart will probably do it tonight as well. I wish these great people who have the public voice would think about the consequences of their "laughing at ourselves" schtick.

1. You know what? I used to love her.

But - I've stopped listening. If I'm driving, and she's on, yes - I'll listen. But I used to be obsessed. Until I decided that she is "posessed"!

One time I was listening to her and and an army recuiter called up, and she reemed him out. She wouldn't let him talk. She kept yelling and yelling. The next day, she apologized because she found out that he was in Iraq, and this was his next assignment. And that he is brutally honest about what is going on in Iraq with the people that come in and enlist.

I am so tired of her yelling and not listening.
There is no give and take with her and her callers.
It's all Randi. Yelling. Just like Loofahman.

I used to hang out on her forum, but left because of all of the Kerry bashing. I have never heard her bash Kerry. I'm not surprised she said that. She's one of those people that don't understand that now is not the time to start voting for a 3rd party.

2. Ah, but the difference is

...she did apologize. Yes, she can go on screaming, stupid rants sometimes, but can you imagine Rush apologizing for a misplaced rant?

Sometimes I have to take a Randi break, but she's getting the truth out there.

Just after I posted about her making fun of Kerry, a jackass freeper called her and tried to belittle her for being a Bush-basher...and she went on the most brilliant, coherent, fact-based, well-deserved rant I've heard anyone give in a long time. I had to give her points for that.

3. I still listen to her. And I will admit that she was my sanity after the

election. Just wish she would take a deep breath now and then!
