Memo to Rachelle G. Cohen
September 21st, 2005
Rachelle G. Cohen is “editor of the editorial pages” of the right wing biased Boston Herald. In an OP/ED today she compares John Kerry’s recent speech at Brown University to Donna Brazile’s recent OP/ED in the Washington Post.
I’m not sure what, other than the fact that Brazile’s hometown is New Orleans, could have motivated her to to say, “on Thursday night, after watching him speak from the heart, I could not have been prouder of the president.” Quite frankly, I fear Brazile must be suffering from a momentary lapse of reason, because truly, I can not imagine that she bought what Bush was saying as something even close to “from the heart.” Regardless of her lapse of reason, Brazile has a vested interest in New Orleans, thus she offered to roll up her sleeves and get to work with the President.
Now, back to Rachelle C. Cohen, who infers that Kerry is whining and carping rather than rolling up his sleeves to help the devastated Gulf Coast. Evidently Ms. Cohen missed the story the Boston Herald ran last week about Kerry taking donations to Louisiana on September 12.
