Birthday cards came today

Two GORGEOUS hand-made cards from pirahna that I can sign and forward. I would like to send one out to the West Coast and have someone begin to send it around the western US. I can take the card I have and forward that east. (Is WEL the dividing line? Not sure.)

19. I will forward one card to the east coast

and one on the west coast. I think we have a lot more east-coast posters, so Fire in MS might end up getting the West Coast card. LOL!

Anyway, I am scanning the card in to my computer so that if anyone misses it or something happens, I can show the card to them and get an electronic sig to add. (I'll just make sure the scan goes to whoever has the card and they can tape it in. It's good to have a backup plan. Real Democrats always have backup plans in case something goes wrong. LOL!)

I am sending one to Sandnsea. E-mail her and she will send it on next week after she adds her sig.

One card goes from me to Whome, then, I think, Rox. (Then DC and so forth.) So, that's the plan for now. And as soon as this goes in the mail, I will have a thread where we can just post, "Done and forwarded." That way, we'll know who has seen it and who is waiting.

We need to get this into the DC office by mid-Nov. I think I read somewhere that mail to congressional offices can take 2-4 weeks to scan and process. (Anthrax scare from 4 years ago requires that mail be extensively processed. Sigh!)

Did you get my address and all that I PM'd you Tay? I'll keep my eye out for the card. May I make a suggestion? Write up a MASTER LIST of all the members, and the area of the country they are in. Put a copy of the list in the envelope, and as each one of us signs it, we can cross out our name (or highlite it), and the next person on the list will get it and do the same? That would mean that along with the list ,we would need real names and addresses to forward it. :grouphug: Love, DC

23. It is to send a Birthday card to Sen. Kerry

and let him know that he has a lot of fans around the country. Just because we can and because we like him. (Kerry's B-Day is Dec 11th. So we have time to get cards circulated around.)

I was thinking of cutting to postal mark from the envelope and putting that in the cards. That way, I can show that the cards made their way around the country. Not sure if this is a good thing to do ot not. Maybe glue them to a page and stick taht in the card.

Excellent card. I like the biking and windsurfing images. Can someone pm me the name and address of the person that gets it next? Also, I noticed that there were two folded-up envelopes in the package. I figure one must be to send it to the next person. But what's the other one for? And should I replace the one I use to mail it, so that it gets sent with two envelopes again?

I had extras. (That's it. I had extras, figured putting them in the envenlope might save someone else a trip to the store to get envelopes. Eh, why not.)

Just throw the extra in the evelope and send it on. If someone uses it, so much the better. Then it doesn't hang around my house gathering dust. No big agenda, I just had extras.

We are sending this down the respective coasts of the US and then inward. (Kerry's Birthday is Dec. 11th. We should have plenty of time for everyone here to get a chance to sign one of the two cards that are floating around.)
