Hey Sandnsea: Wyden got married
From the LA Times Weekly:

Hitched: Sen. Ron Wyden, 56, and Nancy Bass, 44, co-owner of New York’s legendary Strand bookstore. This is the second marriage for the Oregon Democrat, the first for Bass. The two were set up by friends last year when Bass visited Portland to check out the city’s famed Powell’s City of Books _ and yes, they book-browsed on their first date. Saturday’s private ceremony was held in Cannon Beach, Ore.

Congrats to them. I still like his energy policies, so, I hope he's happy.

Boy, there were a bunch of Senators getting married recently. Sen. Reed from RI got married. Chris Dodd not only married within the last few years, but, now is having kids. (And Dodd is no spring-chicken, he's in his 60's.)

Does Wyden have kids?

1. I saw that!
I love the Strand. It's the one place we always go every time we're in NY.

2. Dennis Kucinich got married too
Wyden has two kids, but I don't know much more than that. His family has never been part of his image that I know. Always more of a hard-working, constituent services, get the job done, kind of guy. I like that he married a New Yorker who was interested in Powell's Books, that's major cred in Oregon.

3. I've never been to Powell's,
but I love their emails.

The Strand is a very funky bookstore - huge, crammed, used and new books all jumbled together. It's always mobbed.

4. It's a place people spend hours in
looking for interesting books.

5. My sister took me there when I visited.
She left me there and went to a movie and then picked me up later. It was like heaven!
