Either way, it made me cry :(

I was driving home from work tonight, and my 'theme song' for what we are going through right now (the recounts, proving fraud, etc) was playing. It's the song "Butterflies and Hurricanes" by Muse ( I will post the lyrics too). As this song came on, and I was singing, I looked ahead and the car in front of me still had a Kerry/Edwards sticker in the back windshield. I started crying!!! I almost felt the pain i felt the day Kerry conceded, but it was different. It wasn't a pain of feeling let down by him, but a feeling of anger of the injustice done not only to voters, but also to HIM. Sometimes I am superstitious and think there are 'signs' in certain situations going on in my life. This felt like one, but it was also a good feeling in a way, a feeling of some sort of triumph. Maybe the 'sign', was that I'm supposed to keep sharing this song with people who are following what is going on right now. I've already spread it to a few people who can't stop listening to it.

3. Faye, I just saw this thread

and I really appreciate it. Yesterday, I was shopping with my mom at IKEA. I do not particularly enjoy shopping, and now that I am in a general "boycott the world" mood, it was not a pleasant experience. I had my bah humbug going pretty good, when what to my wondering eyes should appear but three vehicles sporting Kerry/Edwards bumper stickers. My car was surrounded.

I told my mom that it just had to be a sign. I could not help but hum a carol.

thank you!!!! i was starting to wonder if this thread was invisible! i was only feeling sensitive to no one replying b/c i was basically crying as i typed it.

Anyway, I hope what we've both seen are signs :) Just kind of wierd so many people still have their stickers on. The car in front of me that night was the first i'd seen at all around here, even before the election. that's why it was so shocking to see it, especially when my 'election 2004 theme song' came on....

you really need to hear the song! brings me to tears (of patriotism) every time!

6. I saw my first post-election Kerry/Edwards stickers two days ago

Two stickers beautifully adorned on an old beat up pickup, and the driver looked like he was probably about 65-70. I can't tell you how much that warmed my heart to see.

Then, the very next day, I had the "Miracle at Ikea"

I am going to listen to that song now.

I am so sorry I missed it. I'm not always quick on the draw with posts. I saw one yesterday. I honked and waved to the driver. I also saw a shrub one, but I also saw that driver almost get in an accident because they weren't paying attention when they changed lanes and cut someone off. Coincidence? I don't think so.

Yes, sometimes it takes some of us a while to find the threads. :)

I do a lot of assigning "theme songs" to particular events or situations, myself, even if they don't always make sense to anyone but me. (Nor do they have to, of course....) But this one is really nice, and very appropriate. Thanks for pointing it out!

I'd never heard of Muse. Now I'm wondering what else they've done....
